Tim and Anna are no doubt one of the cutest couples around. Anna is in her last semester at Centenary College and is also one of my sweet roommates at The Yellow House of Highland. Tim does youth ministry with a couple of churches, lives just across the street, and is also a huge part of our young adult ministry here at the YH. They have both been such integral parts of my life since my move to Shreveport, and I couldn’t be more grateful for them!
So now for the cutesy story of them. : ) Some of you know that we go to Haiti every summer to work with two orphan villages there. Tim normally goes with us every summer, but this summer he was “unable” to go with us and Anna. Little did Anna know that when we showed up on the beach at the end of the trip, Tim would be waiting for her to ask her the biggest question of her life (after flying there, staying with one of our translators for a few days, and arriving incognito at the beach to wait for her). I can’t describe how absolutely epic this was, as one of our friends nearly bombed the proposal, but here’s a little video snippet of the engagement. I was so absolutely honored to be there to catch a few shots, and then do an impromptu beach session. Once we got back, we arranged for a “formal” engagement session (taken last weekend in Shreveport) that was just as epic. (Think 1968 Schwinn tandem bike, plowed fields, and cupcakes) So, understandably, this is one of those posts where you just can’t pick a “few” favorites. I’ve split the two sessions up into two parts, so I hope you’ll stick around for the next one, which will go up on Wednesday evening. Enjoy, and feel free to leave some comments! -C
