Shreveport Engagement Session: Lacey and Chris {LA State Fair-inspired!}

So I’ve ALWAYS wanted to do a super-fun, laid-back, cute session at the fair with an engaged couple. Cotton candy, candy apples, and carnies…Does it get any better?

So this year I couldn’t pass it up. I pitched the idea to Lacey and Chris, who were absolutely adorable about it. (I’m not sure there was a ride I didn’t make them at least try.) : ) Not to mention the freebies we got just because they were shooting their  e-session. So stinkin’ sweet.

Happy Wednesday, Hope you enjoy this super-fun session! -C

Mansfield Maternity Session: Jacqueline and Jonathan {front porch-inspired!}

Happy Tuesday! I couldn’t think of a more appropriate day to post this session than the official full-term date for Jacqueline. Congratulations to such a precious family! Jacqueline and Jonathan are probably one of the funniest, goofiest, and sweetest couples I’ve had the pleasure of meeting. They came to me several months ago to arrange a maternity shoot and I’ve gotten to sit down with them over coffee, visit their beautiful home in Mansfield, and check out some of the places they do ministry.

J & J are both pastors for TWO churches a piece, (that’s FOUR churches total…wowza!) and they wanted the church setting to be a special part of their shoot. So, we checked out all the locations and found some awesome places that mean a lot to them. I also did a new activity with them where I had them write out some of the prayers they have for their little girl. (You’ll notice that page featured in one of the pictures.) I hope you enjoy their super-sweet front porch shoot!

And CONGRATULATIONS, King family, can’t wait to meet your precious little girl!

Shreveport Engagement Session: Tim and Anna, Pt. Two {vintage bike-inspired!}

Okay, so if we can be honest (and I think we can) this is one of my absolute favorite sessions I’ve ever done. There. I said it. : ) If you had the chance to check out Monday’s Part One blog from Tim and Anna’s surprise beach engagement, then you know how incredibly adorable they are! Tim’s silly laugh and Anna’s sweet smile are sure to win you over regardless.

I love the challenge of creating sessions that look like the couple I’m working with, and this engagement was no different. Tim loves a good challenge and Anna loves to bake, so I got to thinking… and voila! 1968 Schwinn tandem bike, generously lent by Eric and Aimee McFarland, and AMAZING pumpkin and cream cheese icing cupcakes courtesy of the ever-wonderful Nycki Sorensen. (Not to mention the humor in watching Tim and Anna learn to ride a tandem bike for the first time ever.) Needless to say, the fall weather, soft sunset and cupcake picnic provided the perfect setting for their engagements. I hope you enjoy!

Oh, And as always, please feel free to leave a comment, share on Facebook, and spread the word to your friends. : ) -C
